The focus of this Omeka exhibit is to take a look at some of the children's books, with a concentration on Disney, that can be found in Hofstra University's Special Collections. In this exhibit you will find: comparisons between the Disney versions of fairytales and the Brothers Grimm versions, a timeline displaying the progression of Disney fairytales from books to movies, Disney statistics and revenue, where every Disney book and movie is based geographically, and changes in the appearance of Disney books over time. All of the items in this collection help convey the "Disneyfication" of children's books over time as well as Disney's impact on society.
